Happy New Year!!!!

While 2010 winds down, we get ready to start a New Year.  Some of you will be spending a quiet night at home while others will be getting ready to party in the New Year.  However you plan on celebrating 2011, this Fairy hopes all the best for you this year.

Be sure to check out My SVM Addiction: Fanfic Year in Review 2010

There is a list of recommended fics of 2010  to check out.  If you don’t see your favourite, be sure to add it.  Congrats to all the authors.  A special thanks to ALL the SVM Fanfic Authors that have shared their gifts with us.

My Wish for 2011

In my last post, I mentioned one of my wishes for 2011.  My wish was for Alan Ball to make sure to give us the Eric & Sookie shower scene.

Apparently, that wish is shared by quite a few of you.  So let’s rise up and take a stand.  We missed out on the Pink Spandex, Eric taking Sookie to the orgy, the “yield to me” on the corvette, and taking the stake out of Sookie with the fooling around afterwards.  I’m grateful that AB has given us the dream sequences, the basement scene( Holy Ass Scene), and their first kiss.  However, if AB felt that the cemetery scene was necessary for Bill&Sookie; the shower scene is definitely necessary for Eric & Sookie.

Until Season 4 of True Blood, we will all have to keep our fingers and toes crossed.

So what do we do until June 2011?

Curl up with a nice, hot SVM Fanfic, of course.

So check out some of my recommendations from 2010, grab a glass of your favourite poison and get whisked away to the Sookieverse.

Enjoy your celebration of the New Year and I will see you in 2011!

Looking Back at 2010

Ok, have we all recovered from Christmas?  So much Food, Fun, and Festivities ~ I will have to work out for the first 3 months of 2011 to make up for it, but it was worth it!  After cleaning up the aftermath of the Toys R Us explosion that happened in our house, I was able to start tackling my reading list.  Spending some “Quality Time” with my Viking has made all the madness bearable.  Now that we are approaching the beginning of 2011, it’s time to look back on 2010.

I think back over 2010 …

~Excessive reruns of True Blood Season 2

to tie me over to Season 3 (or watching eps 9’s dream sequence a million times, or was that just me?)

~Charlaine Harris’ Dead in the Family

~ I know there were mixed reviews, but it was fun to go back to the original sandbox and play for awhile

~Season 3 of True Blood

(Seeing the 1st episode with a naked Eric ~have trouble remembering the rest of the episode)

• More Eric & Sookie dreams (Got skills you can’t imagine cowboy!)
• The Real Hair-Grabbing Kiss *sigh*
• Eric & Talbot *I’m bored~ take your clothes off* sex on the floor *yes, Daddy*
• Eric’s tender moments with Pam
• Eric covered in cement and still looking hot!
• Sookie finding out about Bill and kicking his ass out the door!!!

~Thank you Charlaine Harris for creating the Sookieverse and Eric Northman.  Thank you Alan Ball for True Blood so we can see Eric Northman Naked!!!

~Personally, I’m grateful for all those wonderful people

that I’ve met through the SVM Fanficverse out there~  All those that I’ve talked to on Twitter, Skarsporned with on Tumblr, and emailed through my blog. I’m very thankful to all of you for your friendship, laughter and sharing the ASkars Addiction.  Also I would like to thank all the SVM/ TB Fanfic Authors out there for sharing your gifts.  Charlaine Harris & Alan Ball are the architects, but you are the Interior Designers for my Happy Place.

Looking Forward to 2011

~Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris

Read a preview of Chapter 1.  Looks exciting and I can’t wait to play in the original sandbox again and get dirty.

~True Blood Season 4

Praying to any god that will hear me that Alan Ball will give us a Sookie & Eric shower scene!

~ASkars Movies~ “13” and “Straw Dogs”

Really they could be about paint drying~ I just want to see him on the big screen *shrugs*

~More SVM/ TB Fanfics ~ SVM/TB Fanfic Readers Group

Don’t see my addiction ending anytime soon, and I have no need for a cure.  I only wish there were more hours in the day, or I didn’t have to sleep so I can read more.  Since there are other addicts out there, I have talked an idea out with a friend of mine (Clare_de_loon) about a “Book Club” for fanfics ~ If everyone brings a fanfic they have found to the (virtual) table, I think us readers would have a chance to read fics that we might have missed.  If you’re interested please contact me.  If there is a large response or varied tastes (pun intended), we can have different groups.   I can have chat rooms set up and also post comments.  Please come on and Join In.

~My Personal Business Ventures

Having my Wedding/Events Business has been a dream come true.  I have met some great people and have been able to work around spending time with my family~ not to mention reading time.  However, last year was the slowest, and I’m venturing into other projects.  I love being able to spend time with my hubby and daughter.  Hopefully, these projects will be lucrative so I can continue to be there for them.  (Also i will have time for my distractions*smirks*)

~ I hope you all the best for the New Year

‘Tis the Season

So it looks like some of us might have a White Christmas.  Woopee.  It’s not the pretty stuff  here anymore. It’s the muddy, slushy, icy stuff.  The kind of stuff that makes getting around a big pain.

Good news is that I don’t have any work until the New Year! Woopee!

What to do while you’re stuck at home with the Family?

• Have the kids play that awesome game~ “Put all this shit where it belongs” game….It’s hours of fun!
• If some unwanted family members descend upon you~ send them on the “£100 Taxi Tour” (just forget to mention to the driver that it is a return trip).   Money well spent!
• If your hubby is at home during the Holidays, let him play the World Cup Home Edition.  Place a picture of a goal on the laundry basket, and for each article of clothing that goes in he scores a goal. (oops, did I forget to mention about the £100 fine for every article of clothing left on the floor)… Momma’s going Shoppin’ !
• And my favourite Game ~ “You Bother Me During My Time & I’ll Send You to Narnia” Game.  Anyone that bugs me while I’m having some “Me” time will be locked in the wardrobe until they find Narnia!!!

Now that you have some peace & quiet:

How about some reading?

Charlaine Harris released the first chapter on the 11th Book of the SVM Series that will be out May 2011.

Check it out on Mrs. Harris Website

Remember this is where it all started from the creator of Eric Northman *sigh*.  Thank you Mrs. Harris *bows as if not worthy*

So as I stated before, my daughter is off from school until 5th Jan, and my hubby is home until 13th Jan…Don’t know what kind of condition I’m gonna be in by the end of everyone’s holiday, but I don’t think it’s gonna be pretty

With everyone home, Mummy has less time to do my reading(look at pic on right).  I’m still catching up on my previous reading list and getting all my reviews in.

So please check out the label marked  Fanfic or go to Fairy’s Favourite Fanfics page if you want to check out some great fanfics.

Check out “Addict Confessions” over at My SVM Addiction.  Read the stories of fellow SVM Addicts and find out how their addiction started, what they’re currently reading and recommendations.  Crazy people like company.

The Creator of the award –winning  Creative Well, Theresa, has revamped *pun intended* her blog.  There are book reviews, art, loads of prize-winning contests and much more. Please check it out and say “Hi”

If you’re looking for a giggle try these quizzes (Ok, some were not giggling~you know who you are. Right Beel?  Just a joke, Please don’t get mad at me again.  I promise I’ll be good or bad if that makes you happy)

A Little Fairy Christmas Cheer

To All My Followers & Friends

As we are coming into the homestretch of Christmas, it’s a time to remember what Christmas is about:

• Overcrowded shops
• Over priced toys and gifts
• Forgetting someone on your Christmas list
• “Towering Inferno” shown on TV for millionth time
• Wrapping weird- shaped gifts that look like crap
• Staying up all nite on Christmas Eve to put together toys
• Never enough booze to get through the holidays

So here’s a little pick me up for all those special people who take the time to read my blog, follow me on Twitter and Skarsporn with me on Tumblr….

Here’s a Christmas card to brighten your day

~Have a Hot Viking Christmas~

We are all knee~deep in the Christmas Season, and the UK is about to get hit with MORE snow in the next couple of days.  Have I finished shopping…Hell, NO!

Panic!!??

Hell, YES!!!!

But then….

I stop and close my eyes.  I think of Eric Northman leaning down to whisper into my ear…My hands find  themselves on his well developed pecs.  His cool breath tickles my ear and shivers run down my spine and settle in the apex of my thighs while he says, ”Trust Me”.
*sigh*…All better now.

OK, Folks, we have 178 days until True Blood Season 4 starts *sob*.  I know, but we can get through this. Keep saying that to yourself. Luckily, we will be able to see Askars on the big screen with “13” and “Straw Dogs”.  Unlike Sweden, most countries haven’t had the pleasure of seeing him on the large screen*sigh*.  I can’t wait!!

Just found out that the Urban Dictionary has accepted my

word.

Hopefully, those returning to the site have noticed

that I’ve changed a few things around. This site should

run a bit smoother as I overdid it on the

 gadgets on the frontpage *blushes*.

As I’m still refining this site,

I ask for your patience.

So the nights are longer, and the weather is getting colder.  It’s time to go find a nice, hot fanfic to curl up with.  Mine usually star Eric Northman~

Fangalicious Fan Fiction

A cosy home for those Fanged SVM/ TB Fanfics

Source: Fangalicious Fan Fiction

“Here's a few things about our blog:

Each story featured in our SVM and TB communities on Fan Fiction has been posted here on our blog, along with their banner/s (if available), a synopsis of the story, and a short reason why we love it so. We've also included any other links indicating alternate sites where you can find the story or follow the author at such as Facebook or Twitter.

To facilitate your search, we've labeled each story under its respective category, so if you're in the mood for some lemony goodness, or a little bit of angst with your romance, you'll know, with just a click of your mouse, which stories fit each category.”

I have to say that this is one of the most fun and easiest sites to start looking for SVM/TB Fanfics.   All are MUST READS!!

Can you guess which button I press? Here’s a hint:
