I can’t recall if I was this bad last year.  The anticipation was driving me crazy, but no, I think this year is worse.  We know Eric is going to get amnesia; we know he’s going to get with Sookie and not in a dream; and we know there is going to be a lot of MMMM nakedness. So yeah~ is it Sunday yet?

True Blood Writing Contest~Deadline Coming Up

June 22nd is the deadline for the True Blood Writing Contest for the True Blood on Twitter

Thank you again for all the Fangreaders that joined us in the Chatroom and to our very sexy guests  @Eric_ofArea5 & @BobbyBurnham who graciously discussed & answered questions about the contest. I would like to thank MusingsbyChar especially for thinking about us Fangreaders in promoting this contest.

I urge all of you to submit a story for this contest. It would be a great opportunity for any author not only to have their work acted out live, but to also get the exposure for your work outside of our fandom. 

The premise is simple. Watch these three sneak peak videos. Pick one that tempts you and write a continuing story about it. 1500-4000 words <<<that’s all.  Write in the format you are use to and don’t try to make it into a twitter format. That will all  be done for you.  Then just email it to TBonTContest@gmail.com

Oh Hell Yeah!!!

First let me say, I have NOT abandoned this blog ~ my first baby~ Fairyblood’s Fantasies.  Since January of this year, my second baby~ The Fangreaders Group ~has taken quite a bit of my time and energy.  Now I look at the Fangreaders with a massive amount of pride.  A group of Fanfic authors & readers meeting and chatting~ daily.  A fandom community that is still growing.  All members have a say and are encouraged to come up with new ideas for authors & readers alike.  This week saw the opening of the Caffe Trieste forum for authors to go & get help in their writing.  I just love all the Fangreaders so much and encourage all you readers & authors to join in.

The last couple of weeks have been very hectic and the energy that I had at the beginning has waned a bit.  Not to worry, you can’t get rid of this fairy.  I just needed a little bit of time to recharge. 

Plus~ I NEED SOME TRUE BLOOD NOW!!!!

I have many ideas for this blog and you will see some new features soon~ plus loads of SVM/TB Fanfic!!!  I am looking for some of you beautiful readers out there to do some reviews for this blog as well.  So please contact Fairy if you are interested.

Attention Writers! True Blood on Twitter Writing Contest

True Blood on Twitter RP group would like to invite you to participate in our first writing contest. If you’ve ever imagined that you could write a scene for some of your favorite True Blood™ characters, this is your opportunity to do just that.

We have chosen three “sneak peek” video previews for the upcoming Season 4 as inspiration for you to create the story of what happened next. The following are links to those promos. Choose one as the starting point for your story and let your imagination take over.

Our panel of judges will choose first, second and third place winners from the submissions and True Blood on Twitter group members will act the winning story out, live on Twitter, as a special event leading up to Sunday, June 26 and the first episode of Season 4 of True Blood™. Second and third place entries will be performed at a later date. First place prize is a copy of True Blood: The Complete Third Season on DVD. Runner up prizes will also be awarded for the second and third place winners.

Deadline for submissions is Midnight central time, Wednesday, June 22^nd, 2011.

JUDGING
Our panel of judges will be looking equally for…

• Creativity and originality (including structure, flow, development of characters, and so on)
• Potential for roleplay (including audience-appropriateness and appeal).
• Technical ability (such as writing and compositional skills, presentation, form, spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.)
• Stories should get the viewer’s attention and keep it. Beginning, middle, end, and overall pacing are very important. The dialogue needs to provide insight and the visuals must be compelling. The voice of the characters should be clear and strong. Overall impact of the piece will be the major criteria in the evaluation process.
• Creativity will carry a weight of up to 10 points; other categories carry a weight of up to 5 points. Winners will be determined by the highest cumulative score.
