Being an avid reader of Vampire stories since I was 10 years old, I've never been happier than the last few years with some really good Vamp stories to choose from. After reading the Sookie Stackhouse novels, I was hooked. Although Dead and Gone left me a bit wanting. It was then that I discovered fanfiction particularly fanfiction with my favourite Viking. I never thought any vampire could compete with Lastat, but Eric is my dream Vampire. He revels in all things Vampire. This is why I don't read stories that are all human... what the hell is that about? I don't mind stories where he becomes human for a little while, but ain't nothing like having Eric in badass Vampire glory. I don't particularly like him to be too lovey-dovey and fluffy either. Passionate, yes, badass, yes, wimpy, NO!! Of course the best fanfic out there is Let Love In by Terri Botta. It has the perfect Eric & Sookie!! If you haven't read it, stop right now and read it.
You should also read The Arrangement by Texanlady- What a great story!! Eric is seriously Badass in this. Not for the fainthearted, but worth going on the journey of Eric and Sookie's evolving relationship.
Read Waking the Blood of the Dead - WOW what a ride! You will not be disappointed... Gracious Plenty in Epic proportions!
OK...I can admit when I am wrong. There is an All Human story that had me gripped- " House of Flesh on Fire". There, I said it. It's a great story that will have you hooked.
Ok, Ok, Ok Now I really have to eat my words... there is another All Human story with Eric that I truly can sink my teeth into...(excuse me while I have a brief fantasy...) Ok, what was I saying? ...Oh yeah... Read Violetbat's "Triple E" followed by "Dream Doctor"... Sookie is having a bad case of Eric dreams( Can we relate, or what?!). Then go and read "Circus" where Eric is not only Vampire, he's sporting some pink spandex.
Before reading any of my recommendations, you should do the following:
1. Keep your boyfriend, girlfriend or spouse nearby
2. If no one else is around, keep some icecream, cool glass of lemonade, or a cold shower on standby
3. If all else fails, be sure to charge up some batteries- you know what I'm talking about!
Yes, I love the Lemons... and Plot, LEMONS, good characters, LEMONS, Action, LEMONS, mystery, LEMONS, romance, LEMONS... did I mention LEMONS?!
Now, I don't know who all will read this but I hope to get a hold of a few of the right people to spread the word. Since FF started to remove some of the more Mature stories off this site, I have found myself trying to find where my fav authors have gone to post their works. Also, I feel that there are going to be works that aren't going to make it on this site. Having read hundreds of stories off of this site, I feel betrayed by censorship. I'm a grown woman about to turn 40 years young! Reading is my escape from the busy world of raising a family and my home business. Now that I've found stories that really captivate me, I hate to lose it. Many have turned to live journal, but it gets a bit tedious keeping up with many authors and finding new stories is quite a chore. I found a new site called Archive of Our Own

There's not much there for SVM or True Blood yet but the other Fandoms are increasing. For readers, it's fantastic!! Very clear ratings, can view the work as one document, and very easy search engines.
For authors, they can ensure that their works are easily found by readers and they don't have to worry about works being removed for being toooo mature, because they have an EXPLICIT rating that you have to click to state that you are of the right age. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEEEEAAASE check it out.
