It’s a double birthday celebration here at Fairyblood’s Fantasies. A little over a year ago, Fairyblood’s Fantasy was created in it’s first home at LiveJournal. Now it can be viewed on Wordpress as well as it’s main home on Blogger. I have to say that it has been a very Happy Place.
Many thanks to all my followers. I love your emails of recommendations and comments. You have made my first year of blogging so enjoyable.
Also this little Fairy has added an extra candle to the cake. Won’t tell you how many candles are on it, but let’s just say that the Fire Brigade is on call.

One of the greatest gifts of this year is the meeting of all the wonderful ladies in the Fangreaders Chatroom. I look forward to our daily chats, and my hubby no longer threatens to have me committed for laughing out loud at the screen. I really love you all.
I have also received a special birthday pressie from my partner in crime, VicVega66. It’s a 2 part story with my fave OC Lys. I so want to be her. Next best thing is to have a story of her and Eric.

Sometimes we all get into a rut and lose out on reading some fics that we would really enjoy. So I definitely recommend checking it out. There’s a list of the Fangreaders reading List HERE.

Pretty Kitty by ficlit78 A lemony fic that takes place after Sookie comes back from the fae realm. Trying to stay away from Eric is futile as he uses Sookie’s new cat against her.
Fairytale By SharaMoon ~ Now those of you that have been reading True Desires know Sharamoon. She has created an OC, a fairy assassin named Sofia, who is to guard Sookie. Little does she know that the person who saved her life as a child knows Sookie very well. Let’s just say that he leaves a lasting impression.
End This Darkness by Eric4Me ~ Now this fic I is on the Fangreaders Reading list, but I would’ve overlooked it otherwise. It’s a period fic where Sookie is married off to Eric Northman, wealthy businessman. I found this fic very surprising with quite a journey for both Eric & Sookie.
Also Check out Janofarc ‘s new Fic Idea Georgie Prentice & the Bank Heist Conundrum . It’s an interactive story where the readers are able to chose the path that the characters take. It will be up soon, so keep a look out for it.
For those that don’t know Roux Roux is BACK!!! She’s updating her stories now.

Reviews!!!
There are more blog postings on this subject than I care to really think about. I’ve only touched on this subject once on my blog, because of the fear of adding more to this mess. However since it is my birthday, screw it, here it is!
I’ll try to paint the picture of how I see it. You have authors who receive very hateful reviews. Some authors are very hurt by this and some just ignore them. There is NO excuse to be rude to any author or any story. If you don’t like it move on. Freedom of Speech is a wonderful concept that I believe in very much, however hate should never be set free. On that note there are authors that have really disappointed me in their distaste for reviewers. There seems to be mixed messages of what an author expects from their reviewers. Some want constructive criticism or want to know if you like it. Some even ask how you would like the story to progress. If a reviewer gets it wrong, some authors feel they can be bitch about them and call them stupid. Also please don’t beg for reviews if you don’t plan to say thank you to the reviewer. My recommendation would be for authors to state what they would like from their reviewers and remember that everyone is different. Don’t be insulted by innocuous remarks. For reviewers, be considerate that that some authors are just starting out or may not have English as a first language. This is a fandom, and this is suppose to be a place to let out your imagination.

Since reading fanfic for 2 years, my philosophy on reviews is this.
Now one of the reasons I wanted to start the Fangreaders Group was to get authors and readers together. I think this has helped bridge the gap in a lot of ways. We are all crazy about our Fandom and feel very passionately about it. Some people don’t know what the hell I’m talking about. Good for you ~ whatever you’re doing keep it up. For the rest of you that only know one side of this problem or are aware of the bigger picture, help keep the peace and discourage those from ruining our fandom. We all need each other ~ so PLAY NICE!! (said in my best scolding mother voice).
I swear this is the last time I’ll ever mention anything about this subject. I’d rather just promote Peace, Love, and Naked Eric!!!

New Look~
If you are a follower of my Blogger site then you will notice a little of a new look. I am also expanding the site to include Fairy’s Library, Fairy’s Favourite Fanfics and Fairy’s Pleasure Chamber. They are currently under construction, but they will be up soon. My Library will have all about my fave paranormal romances. For my really naughty side, the Pleasure Chamber will be filled with all naughty gifs, vids and pics to go with some steamy excerpts from my fave lemony scenes.
